The UPDF as part of the continuous operation of Shuja with DRC's FARDC has reportedly slaughtered another commander of the Allied Democratic Forces in the eastern part of the country.

Citing the Ugandan military, the ADF commander called Lubangakane, one of the most senior under Amigo’s base was slaughtered in Mwalika valley on the 9th of 2023.

He was slaughtered jointly with three of his warriors and two firearms comprising a PMK machine firearm and an SMG were recuperated from them.

The overall Operation Shuja commander, Maj Gen Dick Olum ascertained the slaying of the ADF commander.

“My troops under Makindye regiment, had a contact earlier today, and Lubangakane, a daredevil ADF commander did not survive. We are not relenting on our operation of degrading ADF,” Maj Gen Olum noted.
