The Makerere University's Office of the Academic Registrar has reportedly released admission lists for Privately sponsored students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

Citing the official academic calendar, the University will carry out its graduation ceremony from the 8th of January to the 12th of January.
The week-long event will see the University graduate more than 13,000 learners from different programs.
Meanwhile, the Institution's Vice Chancellor, Prof Nawangwe Barnabas, noted that the Senate will in October convene to discuss the final graduation list.

"The marks and results of different learners are at the college status, however, most colleges have already carried out the academic board discussions to ratify the results," Prof Nawangwe noted.
It should be noted that this is the first moment the University is carrying out its graduation in January since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 dismantled the academic calendar.
The University had its graduation event this year in February, however, Prof Nawangwe noted that the institution is set to move to normalcy in August 2024.
Concurrently, the academic registrar's communication implied that the 2023/24 academic year, begins on August 19 with the fresher's orientation.

Last month, the institution discharged the list of government-sponsored learners and today the privately sponsored students admission list has been released.
Prof Buyinza Mukadasi, the academic registrar, revealed that all government sponsorship scheme beneficiaries are anticipated to begin picking up their admission letters from their respective colleges shortly.
